Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us, so here is a clear, plain-language explanation of what we collect and why. This document is provided for transparency and is not a substitute for individual legal advice.
Who we are
Dutch with an Italian Touch is a coaching practice run by the trader identified in the Legal notice below — a Dutch sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page. If you have any questions, you can always reach us at info@dutchwithanitaliantouch.com.
What we collect and when
We only collect what we need to offer you a coaching session. When you book, we receive your name, email address, time zone, the session and time you chose, and anything you type into the booking form.
Bookings run through Cal.com, our embedded scheduler. Your confirmation and welcome emails are delivered through Resend. Our site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps basic server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and available.
Why we use your data and our legal basis
We use your booking details to set up and deliver your coaching session. The legal basis for this is the performance of our coaching agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
We also send a short welcome email after you book. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in giving you a warm, useful start — or your consent — and never for unrelated marketing.
Sharing and processors
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers (processors) who help us run the practice: Cal.com for scheduling, Resend for email delivery, and Cloudflare for hosting.
These providers act on our instructions to deliver the service to you, and may process your data in line with their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as we need it to deliver the service and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
Under Dutch law, invoices and related records must be kept for up to 7 years. When data is no longer needed, we delete it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to certain processing. Just email us and we'll help.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Cookies and third-party embeds
This site sets no tracking or marketing cookies. When you use the scheduler, the Cal.com booking widget loads a third-party script from app.cal.com so you can pick a time.
If you have any privacy questions, write to us at info@dutchwithanitaliantouch.com — we read every message ourselves.
Campaign measurement and Meta
If you agree via the banner, we enable measurement tools from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (the Meta pixel and the Conversions API). They exist so we can tell which content and which ads actually lead to a first conversation, and so we stop showing you ads for something you have already done.
In that case we share with Meta: the fact that you viewed the programme section, opened the booking calendar, clicked the email address, or booked a call; your IP address and user agent; Meta's click and browser identifiers (_fbc and _fbp); and, for a booking, your email address and name hashed with SHA-256 — never in the clear.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can decline with no effect on your use of the site: if you decline, neither the browser pixel nor the server-side event is sent. To withdraw consent you have already given, clear this site's cookies in your browser and the banner will reappear.
Meta is a joint controller for the collection of this data and also processes it in the United States, under the Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Your consent choice is stored for 180 days; event data is retained by Meta under its own policies.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I keep your email address and the language you signed up in so I can write to you. I don't use it for anything else, and I don't sell or share it with third parties for marketing.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to me: on withdrawal your address is removed from the list.
Addresses are held by Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.), acting as a processor, who also process them in the United States under the Standard Contractual Clauses. I keep them for as long as you stay subscribed.
If you have accepted measurement cookies, the subscription is reported to Meta as a conversion event, with your email address hashed using SHA-256 and never in the clear — see the previous section. If you have not accepted, subscribing still works and nothing is sent to Meta.
